Admission is available to any child
between 1 and 5 years old and able
to walk. Admission decisions reflect
Mi Escuelita’s commitment to
multicultural and pedagogical
excellence by ensuring enrollment of
a cross-section of students from
both genders as well as the ethnic
and socio-economic groups found in
our community, and by ensuring that
each class maintains a core group of
Spanish-speaking children. When
possible, priority is given to siblings
of children enrolled in the program.
Other children are accepted in the
order in which their applications are
received.
If you are interested in enrolling a child at Mi Escuelita, you
may schedule a visit with our director for a tour of the
program. If you wish to register a child, you must submit a
completed application and a $35 non-refundable application
fee. As soon as there is an opening for your child, you will
receive a letter to give you the opportunity to enroll your
child and provide you with a date by which you must submit
a non-refundable $220 confirmation fee to hold the space for
your child. This fee will be used to pay for materials your
child needs and uses during his/her tenure at Mi Escuelita.
An emergency medical release, copies of immunization
records, and any other forms provided you by Mi Escuelita
must be on file before a child can start attending.
Tuition is paid monthly and due on the first of each
month. Any payments received after the 5th of the
month are subject to a late payment fee of $ 25 that will
be added to the following month’s payment. If the 5th is
on a Saturday, Sunday, holiday or bad weather day, the
last permissible day to make a timely tuition payment
will be on the next day that Mi Escuelita is in session.
Monthly tuition is the same throughout the year,
including months with holidays or school closings due to
bad weather.
Your child’s first month’s tuition is due in full on the first day of attendance at Mi Escuelita. This
amount will be deposited and credited immediately.
Your child’s last month tuition is also due in full on the first day of attendance at Mi Escuelita. This
tuition will be held in a trust account for the tenure of the child’s time at the school. These funds
will be drawn upon only when a child’s balance is overdue or to credit the last month’s tuition.
Families must replenish the trust account balance if it is withdrawn as well as pay the $25 late
payment fee.
Checks should be made payable to Mi Escuelita and clearly marked with the preschooler’s name. A $25
fee will be charged for returned checks
For income tax preparation, you can request the EIN (Employer Identification Number) of the
preschool from the director.
Families are responsible for the full tuition payment every month regardless of absences due to family
vacation, illness or any other reasons.
Written notice of the intention to withdraw from Mi Escuelita is required one full calendar month
prior to the last day of attendance.
If a child withdraws without notice in the middle of the month, there will be no tuition
reimbursements.
Scholarships and tuition subsidy for income-eligible children are available. To see information about
Mi Escuelita “Lucerito Scholarship” you can download this document.
