WHO WE ARE



			MI ESCUELITA SPANISH IMMERSION PRESCHOOL

I have worked at Mi Escuelita since May 2001, and I have been the
current Director since February 2006. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. I
have a PhD in Law from Nuestra Señora Del Rosario College.
My experience as a teacher, my development in the administration
duties, and my studies have qualified me with a Level 3
Administration Credential from the NC Division of Child Development.
As a Director, I look forward to continue to develop this program and
to enhance the bond with children, their families, our staff, and
Directors.

I am from Colombia. I have been working at Mi Escuelita since
2001. I was co-teacher in my country for a year. I have my
Credential in Early Childhood from North Carolina. I am
currently enrolled at Durham Technical Community College and
have professional development level III in Early Childhood. I
am a lead teacher in Lunitas (3-4 year olds).

I am from Cuba. I graduated from Havana University, Cuba, with a
master in Science and a minor in Mathematics. I taught Mathematics
for 23 years in my country. I have completed my Early Childhood
Credential from North Carolina, professional development, level 9. I
am continuing my studies at Alamance Community College. I have
been working at Mi Escuelita since November 2005. Currently, I am
the lead teacher in Cometas.

MARÍA ELIZABETH ARIAS DE CABEZA

I am from México. I graduated from Universidad Pedagógica
Nacional de Morelia, Michuacan, with a degree in Education.
I worked as a teacher in my country for 6 years. I have my
credential in Early Childhood from North Carolina, and the
certificate in Early Childhood, professional development
(level 6). I am the lead teacher in Solecitos (2-3 year olds). I
am enrolled at Durham Technical Community College, where
I continue my studies.

JULIA SUÁREZ

BLANCA MADARIAGA

CLAUDIA LADINO

I am from Colombia. I graduated from Central del Valle del
Cauca University as an Environmental and Natural Resources
Engineer. I started working at Mi Escuelita in March, 2008. I
completed my Credentials in Early Childhood from North
Carolina, and I am continuing my studies in Early Childhood at
Wake Technical Community College. I am lead teacher at
Estrellitas (1-2 year olds).

ÁNGELA MONTOYA

MÓNICA GRANADOS

I am from México. I started working at Mi Escuelita in February 2007. I
am co-teacher in Estrellitas (1-2 year olds). I completed my Credential
in Early Childhood from North Carolina, and I am continuing my studies
at Durham Community College.

I am from Honduras. I started working at Mi Escuelita in May, 2007. I
completed my Credentials in Early Childhood. I am co-teacher at
Solecitos (2-3 year olds).

I am from Colombia. I have been working at Mi Escuelita since
January 2007. I graduated from Cooperativa de Colombia
University with a major in Education Administration. I worked as
a teacher in my country for 20 years. I have my Credential in Early
Childhood from North Carolina, and a certificate in Early
Childhood, professional development level 6. I am co-teacher in
Lunitas (3-4 year olds).
